KOT Engineering offers solutions in structural analysis and dimensioning of civil structures. Such segment includes equipment bases, superficial and deep foundations, and also buildings and special structures.

The verification, optimization and adequacy of civil structures is carried out in accordance with current national and international standards. In addition to traditional static analyses, KOT has great expertise in the dynamics of concrete structures, such as rotating equipment bases and bridges (in reinforced concrete and steel).

In order to increase accuracy and control of the calculation process in reinforced concrete, KOT developed specific software allowing, in addition to the detailed evaluation of all states associated with the calculation of reinforced concrete, the complete determination of the structural behavior.

KOT Engineering works in the development of bridge design, performing the structural calculation, dimensioning and detailing. It also acts in the structural optimization aiming at weight reduction, which results in the reduction of construction costs.

The loads are calculated according to the applicable standards, both from static and dynamic point of view. The structural stresses that imply significant changes in load, with impact on the fatigue calculation, are evaluated in detail, allowing to estimate the service life of the structure.

Full-beams are evaluated considering the cross section buckling and shearing failure modes. Numerical analyses are generated following the standards requirements, in order to allow the dimensioning of longitudinal and transversal stiffners suitable to maintain the stability of the panels.
